Meditation is training for your mind that brings awareness to your life. In the absence of constant distraction, you gain peace and clarity, so you can focus your awareness on what’s really important to you.
Meditation is a gentle practice; you don’t force the mind to be quiet. Think of a time when you were watching a beautiful sunset, completely engaged in a piece of music, or perhaps out for an early morning run. Did you have a feeling of connectedness and being immersed in the moment? That’s similar to what you experience while meditating.
Meditation is both practical and spiritual, as is everyday life. But it’s important to note that meditation is not a religious practice, and does not conflict with any family or cultural beliefs.
I teach group and private classes for adults and children. Classes can be tailored to suit your needs, as a workshop or weekly format. Please contact me about the meditation class that’s right for you.
